I am a North West-based socially engaged artist, activist, facilitator, researcher and cultural worker. My practice is grounded in critical theory, social justice, community care and action research. I work with LGBTQIA+, trans*, nonbinary, genderqueer and systemically excluded communities to create collaborative projects that support voice, dialogue, political education and collective reflection. My work creates opportunities for change-making, learning and political education, manifesting as political ephemera such as banners, zines and signs, DIY publications and physical spatial interventions. Everything I create is related to creating conditions for dialogue and critique including; zines and zine libraries, book clubs and reading groups, and community workshops and exhibitions.
Across my career, I have developed a strong track record in socially engaged, learning and community-led cultural work. I completed a practice-based PhD in community arts, ‘The People’s Glossary’ (2015–20) at Liverpool John Moores University and have worked with major institutions including; Tate Liverpool, Middlesborough Institute Modern Art, Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, Reina Sofia, Bow Arts, Heart of Glass, Homotopia and University of Liverpool. Recent projects include; ‘Stories of Solidarity’ (2025-26) as Lead Artist where I led a creative zine-making programme; ‘Pride is a Trans Led Protest’ (2025-26) as Producer and Artist with Homotopia; Reading for the Restless (2024-25) and Queer Book Club (2023-current) at Heart of Glass.
I am currently collaborating with DIY venues and communities across Manchester including; Pluto Press’ Reading Room at 1520 and Queer Salon’s Book Club.
