TRANS* INFO SHOP

Trans* Info Shop is a socially engaged art project sharing ideas, artwork, research, zines and resources by, with and for trans*, nonbinary and genderqueer people in Liverpool, Manchester and across the UK.

The shop currently resides in Emeri’s studio at Aspen Yard, Liverpool, whilst the van travels across the country and further afield with projects and reading groups taking place in Liverpool and Manchester. The Trans* Info Van travels to festivals, events and places across the UK.

The long-term ambition for the Trans* Info Van is to create a roaming space for solidarity, learning, reflection and develop a publishing house for trans* authors and artists. Trans* Info Shop/Van creates the conditions for access to radical texts, ideas and space in areas and times of need. These resources and spaces are rescinding as we speak with far right ideologies promoted by local and national governments and the media.

The work of Trans* Info Van is urgent because trans* communities are facing increasing hostility, with regional, rural + under-served places lacking access to affirming political education and cultural representation. This project comes at a time when exclusionary guidelines and practices are enforced by the EHRC (UK) and regional pride events and marches are being defunded, such as in St Helens in 2026.

Trans* Info Van responds to discriminatory practices through creativity and practical solidarity, while also giving trans* writers and makers routes to income through providing workshops, creating publications and opportunities for partnerships.
